The Community Health Centre/Family Health Team is a primary healthcare organization committed to delivering health programs and services tailored to our community's unique needs. We believe in a patient-centered approach by bringing together a diverse team of healthcare professionals to provide coordinated and comprehensive care.

This team includes a family physician, a nurse practitioner, and registered nurses. Our focus areas include health promotion, disease prevention, and chronic disease management, encompassing mental health, addictions, and diabetes education.

• Help us expand and adapt our services to meet evolving community needs, similar to how other Family Health Teams across Ontario address specialized populations.

Who Are We Looking For?

 

We are seeking individuals with a passion for community health, strong communication skills, and a commitment to ethical governance. While specific qualifications may vary, a general understanding of healthcare, community needs, or organizational management would be beneficial. Although healthcare experience is valuable, it is not always required. We welcome diverse perspectives and skills. The ability to engage in public decision-making and uphold principles of transparency is also valuable.

 

Ideal candidates will possess:

 

• Strong leadership and communication skills. 

• A commitment to community engagement and advocacy. 

• Experience in governance, finance, human resources, or strategic planning is a plus but not necessary. 

• A willingness to dedicate time and effort to board meetings and related activities.
